Burning rubber
Place your hands on the handlebars of your favourite two wheeled companion and set out for an adventure. If you don't have a bike you can rent one or borrow one from a friend. You may hear birds chirping, smell flowers in bloom and see families in the park as you glide by. Find a hill and see if you can push your way up without stopping to walk. Throw your bike into the toughest gear and see how fast your wheels can go. Choose a destination, maybe a coffee shop or a nice lake to stop and rest by. When was your last bike ride, was it an enjoyable experience?

Very appropriate. I pumped up my tires this morning and plan to go for a ride tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteDear Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteGood to see a post from you. As you know, cycling is a love of mine. My most recent adventure had me and a friend scooting along beautiful lagoons. We spied waterfowl----egrets, ducks and Canadian geese----heard the gurgling of fountains and enjoyed the languid beauty of rolling besides blooming Agapanthas and other flowering plants.
Racing home, with the wind to our back, made for fun. Cycling grounds me. I'm in touch with nature, more so than when I run. I'm less taxed and I greater view of this blessed earth in the same amount of time.
I look forward to you visiting my place, again, soon.
I biked to work this morning... It was hard but it felt amazing. And... the best part of biking to work... is that it forces me to bike home too! Double the exercise... double the fun! Now I am eating an icecream sandwich. Life is good today!
ReplyDeleteI hope that all is well. You haven't posted on here in awhile. I am sending you my thoughts and support and lots of positive and happy vibes. You are an inspiration to me and to so many others. Don't ever let yourself forget that!
