Be the ember, not the ash

Burn out.  It can happen to the best of us. It is important to stay level and burn slowly rather than overwhelming our body and mind.  If you have a day full of running errands, perhaps make one of those errands into a coffee with a good friend to help you unwind. A rough day at work?  Go for a walk or read a good book.  Kids taking up all your time? Set aside time for play.  Throughout the day make a mental note of what you have accomplished and make sure you are balancing yourself.  Rewards are the fuel for our ongoing labour.

What do you do to unwind?

  1. I always have to guard against this. I am always on the go it seems. So to unwind I like to have quiet/alone time. It does wonders for the soul.
