Stop looking, start finding

We are often looking for answers to the choices we should be making in our lives, but the answers are already within us, waiting to be heard.  Ask yourself these questions:

If a fire occurred in your house, what item would you grab first to save it from the licking flames?

On your 75th birthday what would make you cry?

If an illuminous healer approached you and had a motto to share with you, what would that motto be?

If there was one fear you could get rid of, what would it be?

If you are courageous enough to share your answers, I will share mine…

Namaste.

  1. If a fire occurred in your house, what item would you grab first to save it from the licking flames? I think the first item would have to be my kitten Ruby. But since she's not really an item maybe that answer would be a cheat. So I'll go with my family photo album.

On your 75th birthday what would make you cry? Maybe if I were all alone. We all have a fear of growing old alone.

If an illuminous healer approached you and had a motto to share with you, what would that motto be? Treat life's path as a marathon, not a sprint.

If there was one fear you could get rid of, what would it be? My fear of heights for sure!

    1. Keith,

I don't mind being alone, and won't when I'm older, if that were to be the case. I've been alone, but rarely lonely. The last time was probably when I first moved away to college, decades ago. I called my mom and cried. :)

I discovered I'm lonely when I cease to be at peace with myself. I'm pretty good at entertaining myself in a celebrative way---with joy, humor. Being alone allows many opportunities to indulge in the solitary riches that life offers.

I value time to reflect, read, hike, bike, write, study, play a musical instrument, breathe and take God in. These actions are available, when I'm by myself. They allow the wings to my spirit to unfold, permitting journeys to universes that only I know.

  2. Brave Keith…

Ok, mine would be: Fire - I would save my photographs - like you!
75 - If I hadn't seen enough other countries and cultures
Healer - "You are a gift."
Fear - Not being good enough

  3. My two cents:

My photos and letters. I know I'm cheating. :)

At 75: Hearing a baby laugh or someone being vulnerable for the first time. Joyful tears.

Motto: "Stay present, and breathe." (Enjoy NOW, know in this very moment that God and others love me deeply.)

Fear: Staying in my head, not in my heart. Not listening to others: only hearing their words. Many times the most important thing in a conversation is what is NOT said.

P.S. I answered your question in your previous post.

    1. I love that what would make you cry would come from happiness, great perspective. Your fear is an interesting one…are you worried you might take away the wrong message if you are not listening from all angles?

  4. First item to grab in the fire would be my Nikon Camera (then at least few of my favourite dresses... and shoes... and a cat... and... I'll probably never get out in the end!)

All the good things that have passed will make me cry if I live to 75!

Motto - Live and let live!

Fear - to be alone... not sure that one can be shaken off though

    :)

  5. It's good that you treasure so many things, you have many loves. Not to worry about your fear. With your spunk and fun attitude, you will be surrounded by great people all your life - even when you are 75 haha.
